Visited Dr. Ankita Mishra (Psychiatrist) For Suicidal Behavior
Hoped for better: Treatment satisfaction

I had approached Dr Mishra on 5 June with a history of anxiety and she said she can only consult me online. I was fine with it, however what shocked me was in the short span of time she reminded me four time, that I need show her the screenshot of the payment before she starts the session with me. I was quite surprised, as it thought that’s always the protocol, you pay your doctor before the consultation, *** ** *** ** ******** **** * ***** ****** *** ** **** ** ************ ******* ******* It did hit me somewhere and I wasn’t sure I should go ahead **** * ****** **** ****
I mean a simple equation, she wouldn’t start the session if the patient doesn’t pay her, but her approach of repeatedly stressing to share the screenshot of the payment beforehand was somehow not making sense.
I did send her a text message in bold that: I WILL SEND YOU THE SCREENSHOT BEFORE WE START THE SESSION.
She did consult me and she said I was going through an acute anxiety attack for which she gave me a prescription, and yet another appointment on the 11 June. She suggested counselling and I said I am not ready for it as yet and I would like to be on medication. She was ok with it. However, on 17 June, I have no clue, despite sticking to the prescription my anxiety flared up, and I was very suicidal and had a breakdown. I texted her, she called back and asked me to take one of the pills from the prescription, ******** ** **** ** *********** ***** * **** *** ** *** ** *** **** ** ****** ** *** ** *** **** *** *****
She called back and said she doesn’t entertain text to text conversation and if she wants me to help, she need me to come and see on the following day between 4-6 in her clinic. I said ok, however, I guess she could make out that I was too unwell, and I will not be able to wait till the next day, at 5:10 she advised me to visit her on 17th June itself. I said I will immediately jump into the taxi so I am there before six, as I was going through an acute anexty attack. It was pouring heavily, nearly impossible to get an uber, somehow I managed an uber at double the cost.
When I got the uber, I enter Dr Ankita Mishra, it showed the same qualification and every same as on her notepad, I clicked that and texted her that I am on the way. In between she called me to ask me how long, I said two more minutes. However, it was only after reaching the destination, we realized we have reached her other clinic which is closed at the moment. I requested, it has been quite a challenge to reach till there when its pouring and the roads flooded managing myself in the attack alone, she texted me, I can come back tomorrow, or we can do an online session.
Oh why didn’t it strike her at 5:10 that she could have given me an online consultation that costs the same, why did she asked me to come to the clinic when I was alone and in absolutely bad shape. And just at 5:55 I request her I would be in her Dadar clinic in ten minutes she refused to help me when I was going through a bad panic attack despite paying her so much for her consultation and following her prescription. She suggested me ******* ** go and see some other psychiatrist.
I am yet to come in terms with what Dr Mishra did to me today, feeling totally humiliated of the mental health professionals. Being home, with no treatment, still under the anxiety attack, writing this review.
Amazing isn’t, it they promote mental health, come forward if u have an issue, reach out, I was all alone by myself, standing drenched in the rain begging for help. ** ****** *** ** ****** Got nothing more to say. *** **** ********** *** ****** *** ********* ********** ****** ******* * **** **** *** *********** ******* ******* ***** ** ********* ********** **** **** ***** ******* ***** ****** ********* **** ******* *** ******** *** ** ******* *********
