(ASO) streptococus o
My aso test is positive. Above 400 and I took penedure lac12 for almost 1 year and discontinued. But my aso titer is still positive. Is there anything to worry about?

HELLO, INJ PENIDURA MUST BE TAKEN UP TO THE AGE OF 25-30 I M APT OF THIS , DUE TO PREGNANCY I HAD TO STOP. THAT'S WHY I KNOW. IT MAY DAMAGE YOUR HEART. PLEASE CONSULT A GENERAL PHYSICIAN MD OT CARDIOLOGIST.OK.

you can stop it. 1. If you don't have any recurrent attack of rheumatic fever in the last 5 years 2. If there is no heart or valve involvement if heart is affected it is recommended to take at least until 25 years of age.

Do an echocardiogram to look for any heart involvement

If your heart is not affected u take a prophylaxis for 5 years or upto the age of 21 whichever is longer. Your heart can get affected don’t take it lightly.
