16yrs old boy having probably OCD
My son is 16 yrs old and is having OCD . He keeps washing his hands and repeating each thing 5 times. He is very disturbed . Please tell me should i meet a psychologist or psychatrist or is there any treatment like sound healing. Please suggest if possible without medication. He is presently writing his board exams and very distured.

OCD is a major functional disorder and cannot be controlled/cured without medications. There is no treatment like 'Sound healing'.

Forget about treating without medicines. There are specefic medicines for OCD and they are very safe. Psychologist does have a role but only after treating the acute condition.

Hi. It must be distressful for you to see your child going through this. I would suggest you to see a psychologist. She or he will propoerly diagnose your child and would further give therapy based on the symptoms. There are a lot of therapies that could be conducted and a lot of them have been able to manage the symptoms. I would urge you to see a psychologist as early as possible.
