2 yr kid accidentally broke front teeth
My 2 yr old son accidently broke his front 2 teeth from gumline while he was playing & jumping on the sofa. Looks as if Both the teeth were eaten by cavity already. The pedodontist took x ray and suggested an antibiotic paste filling so the cavity doesn’t affect the permanent tooth bud. I am worried for my 2 yr kid as the procedure doctor told looks painful and after all he is just a kid of 2 yrs. Do i need a second opinion from other doctors or this is the only solution left. Please advice Thank you very much in advance!

You can take 2nd opinion for your sack.but definitely get it treated as it will definitely gonna affect your child' permanent teeth.try to save them to avoid future expenses (decays, orthodontic treatment ). About child's concern, pedodontist are trained psychologist ,they know how to handle then we'll.till then you mentally prepare your child, with routine talk about dentist ,how he help us to clean your teeth etc

Hi Please go ahead with the treatment as the Pedodontist has suggested. To keep the teeth free of infection you need to carry out the treatment. Also the infection should not pass on to the permanent teeth,so the treatment is important. The front permanent teeth will erupt at the age of 6-7 years. HOPE THAT HELPS. Dr.Nisha.Harwani

You have not sent the X-rays or photos. But ideally You can go in for treatment as your son is only 2year old and these teeth will be in the mouth till 6 years of age or so. Therefore it is better to do the treatment or else the child may have pain and swelling later
