28 weeks mild IUGR
I am 35 years old and 29 weeks pregnant. On 28th week check-up, doctor told growth is less. Uterus correspond to 26 weeks and that I have mild IUGR and excess fluid. My next growth scan is on 31 week. Kindly let me know what to do? On 24 week, foetus weight was 728 gms. My weight increased by 4 kg from 24 to 28 weeks. I have started taking more proteins in the form of 2 egg whites daily, 5-6 Threptin biscuits and more of soaked and boiled pulses along with milk and home made paneer. Can i take home made paneer everyday? What else can i do to improve the growth of my baby? I am very anxious. I was diagnosed with mild pcos two months before i conceived. Conception was natural and spontaneous.

Hello, I can understand your concern. The growth certainly has to be monitored to see if the rate of growth is ok. If fluid is high, despite having less growth, please check sugars. Also, your diet seems ok. No more changes required. Your next scan is important and also sugar tests. Take care and all the best.
