5 weeks after fracturing metacarpal
Hi, I fractured my metacarpal on 5/12. X-rays were taken and a splint worn for c. 2 weeks (I was advised to take it off once it stopped hurting). Over the last 3 days I seem to get a bit of pain doing certain tasks on one of the fracture fingers. When I say 'pain' it's a twinge which you can feel but isn't a 'wince in pain' job. I wondered if this will go over time? One instance it 'twinges' is if i have all fingers in a crab on the desk and then lift that finger (fourth finger).

Fractures take 4-6 weeks to heal. .Your splint cannot be removed at 2 weeks   Medications like identical K2 and Enzomac will help.
Next Steps
Share x-rays . Continue splint for 2 weeks.
