Dear Docter, I am taking below PPI drug from 1 Year 1.Dexlansoprazole 60 mg daily once 2.Esomeprazole 40 mg daily 3.Levosulpiride 75 mg daily Still I have Acid Reflux Esophagatis Gastritic Pls tell the side effects of long term PPI IS IT SAFE TO TAKE ABOVE MEDICINE MORE THAN 1 YEAR PLS SUGGEST.. WHAT SHOULD BE DONE ANY SURGERY IS THERE TO CURE ??

You cant take longterm ppi unless you have proven acid reflux on 24hr esophageal ph metry & impedence testing. Surgery is indicated only in complicated acid reflux. Long term ppi causes decreased calcium absorption, increased gi infections, bacterial overgrowth & fundic gland polyps
