My knee was injured in an accident on 10 April 2018. I took MRI which shows near complete tear of acl and grade meniscus tear. I have taken bed rest till now. Can it not be healed by physiotherapy? If yes then in what extent?

Quadriceps exercises-lie straight ,make a towel role and put it under the knee ,pressthe knee against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain

Hi, complete tear of ACL might need surgery. However you can continue physio, surgery is the best option for a permanent solution. Take care.

ACL tear won’t heal. You can do physiotheraphy and see that helps. Strengthening the quads might help any instability. If still symptomatic after physio - surgery might be necessary. By doing proper physio - sometimes you can avoid surgery.

ACL reconstruction is the only option for maintaining knee joint stability. Post of recovery need Physio . Till surgery u must go through isometric quadriceps & hamstring to avoid muscle atrophy.
