Acne on upper back and dandruff
I am a 22yr old female living in Delhi. I got acne as a teenager for which I consulted a dermatologist and took proper treatment. The acne on my face subsided however I still have acne on my upper back which doesn’t subside completely. It has left some ugly marks too. I did consult a dermatologist for the same and they prescribed doxycycline which wasn’t effective at all. The marks and acne make me feel very conscious when I wear deep back clothes. I have dandruff too

You are suffering from what Dermatologist call tropical acne. In this condition, pimples erupt on the back and shoulder area which then subside after few days with pigmentation. The treatment is not very complicated. It can be treated with tablets, creams, and soap. Maintenance treatment may be required to cover for recurrence. Please don't apply oil on your head.
