Hi ,this is Dr.Rajesh S. First of all we have to know whether the ligament is completely torn or partially.In other words we have to get xrays.

Once the clavicle bone moves up (Grade 2 and above disclocation) , consider the coraco-clavicular ligament torn. Generally, this needs coracoclavicular ligament reconstruction.

K-wire fixation or strapping etc cannot counter the SCM pull, you won't get long term reduction of AC joint in the long run.
