Acting drunk but not drinking

Asked for Male, 26 Years

My mother who is 51 years old has been acting drunk for over a month now. I thought she was drinking but she hasn't been drinking at all. She's been acting very irrational, sometimes hostile. Sometimes she talks to herself and believes every single person is against her. She has been getting kicked out of every place she's been. And she's been getting arrested. Police have given her a breathalyzer test twice and passed. I really need help.

I am able to understand your situation. Your mother seems to be having psychotic symptoms like suspicion, talking to herself, hostility etc. However more clarity is needed regarding her actual problem. Is it the first time she is like this? How is her sleep and food intake? Is she a diabetic, hypertensive or have any other medical problems? I would be more than happy to help you. Some counselling and if needed medical help might be needed for your mother.
