Acute Telogen effluvium
Hi doctor. I have been diagnosed with acute TE. I got my second prp session today. However I haven't seen any reduction in hair shedding. I am wondering if Prp is a viable treatment for my condition and if it is  , how much time should I give before my shedding gets better . I am taking proper multivitamins and my lab reports are all okay.

It's completely stoppable even regrowth of hair is possible with certain medications without any side effects. Treatment depends on the grade of hair loss. So, it's a must for diagnosing which grade, you are in for an effective treatment. Please  send photos of your head, by direct online consultation for accurate diagnosis and proper treatment.

Most of the scientific research say that PRP is not effective in hair loss due to TE. You can search for the same online. Your hair shedding should resolve by itself in a few months.

Yes, PRP is good for hair regrowth. There could be other underlying factors for hair loss, if you wish to have second opinion, kindly consult with relevant photographs
