Adverse action of BCG vaccine
Dear sir/ M' m , my son after birth has given BCG vaccine afterwards, it seems red spot and at present some abcess appear , is it normal or require doctor consult.

It's normal .It would settle on its own in a week. Continue to breast feed Get yourself examined by Gynae for milk output.do not start formula so soon

If redness,swelling and pus have appeared 6 weeks after vaccination,it's normal,but if earlier than 4 weeks,needs physical examination by your paediatrician.
