Alopecia barbae (suspectd auto immuntiy)
I used to be a heavy smoker and i have quit smoking and later i noticed a bald patch in my beard. Is it something related to my quitting smoke? Because i researched a little on the internet and came to know that smoking suppresses the immunity, so could that be the cause of my auto immunity problem? Although the auto immunity's cause is still unknown. The bald patch in my beard has started multiplying(3 now) , please help. . I workout (weight training and cardio) 5days a week and also take whey protein supplement, creatine supplement, branched chain amino acids supplement, glutamine supplement twice a day. Waiting for some one's kind response. Thank you.

This has nothing to do with gym. You are having alopecia areata. this is an autoimmune condition due to the attack of lymphocytes against hair roots. It results in the formation of bald patches on the scalp. It can affect any hairy area of the body also like eyebrows and  beard. It has to be treated properly for long duration until the immunity comes down. Once the immunity is controlled, hair grows back over the patches. Please call me or contact me with photos or visit me at my clinic for accurate diagnosis and treatment.
