Anterior fontanelle not closed
Hello Dr,, My daughter is 1 year 11 months now and her anterior fontanelle is not closed yet. Some times i feel is getting harder but sometimes i feel there is no improvement also her tooth are not fully erupted.she is on calimax D 5ml OD. Is it normal? .Her all other activities are very much normal.  Please suggest.

There are various causes of nonclosure of anterior fontanelle so image of baby is required for further assistance.

Anterior fontanelle should be closed by 18 months of age completely.. so if it not closed till now then you have to get the child to any nearby pediatrician for detailed examination

I can understand your worries , anterior fontanelle should be closed by 18 months...detail history and examination required to rule out vit d deficiency...

Good morning Anterior fontanelle should close by 9-18 months although there might be variations. The child should be evaluated for signs of vitamin D deficiency.
