Hello Doctor,
Recently I recovered from AKI, about 5 months ago. And now I have a root canal treatment scheduled as I have a decayed tooth, now dentist asked me to take antibiotics called Augumentin 625 and metronidazole 400mg, is it safe to take this tablet as I want to make sure these won't affect my kidneys.

If creatinine has normalised then you can take these antibiotics.
You need to be under follow up of a nephrologist to check for any residual dysfunction of the kidney.
Send your previous discharge summary so that I can come to a conclusion.
