Specifically for dental infections, antibiotics are given for a coverage before a surgical procedure rather than for treating the infection. If there are no symptoms like pain or swelling or any other discomfort and if you have followed the instructions given by your dentist meticulously for the course of antibiotics would not be recommended. But the operating dentist who has evaluated the case clinically will be the best judge for this decision and our suggestion is only tentative based on the description that you have mentioned. Regards.
