Anxiety and depression
Hi, I am on medicine for anxiety and depression from last 2.5 months and doing regular breathing exercise and other relaxation technique to overcome anxiety. Can you tell me how much time it will take to recover from it. sometimes i have headache and i believe this is due to clonozapam wich i am taking for anxiety.

Thank you for asking. I can understand the distress you are through. Anxiety condition takes at least 6 to 8 months  ta get controlled provided the management is correct. There is a role of medications in initial stage however, mainstay of management of anxiety problem is behavioral therapy. Relaxation techniques, excercise, yoga, etc prove helpful. You have mentioned about clonazepam, it gives you symptomatic relief immediately but it's not a cure, and can cause dependence when taken for more than 2 weeks. I would suggest you to reconsult with your treating Psychiatrist and discuss these issues. You must make any changes on treatment only on advise of an expert. You also have an option of going for second opinion.
