Hello. It must be difficult for you to go through these feelings, I understand that you are trying your best to deal with the same. I appreciate your effort and will. It is important to understand that if you have been taking alcohol for a long time and stop it immediately, there tends to be withdrawal symptoms. One of the symptom is feeling of dying. Along with these thoughts, there comes various thoughts as well which becomes difficult to deal with. The thoughts and feelings are in a way your body is trying to adjust to your new habit of not drinking.
Next Steps
It is very important to address these feelings, to let it out. One of the way to do that is by talking to a therapist. Doing this, it will help you to share and let out your feelings and thoughts which you have been fighting inside for a long time. Meditation is part of therapy, as you understand meditation alone will not be help. Certain therapeutical techniques can be used in the therapy to ease your mind and body.
Health Tips
Speaking about your feelings will help you to ease your mind. After meeting the counselor, if he/she feels medication is important, you can take it along with counseling. I understand that you are doing your best, I appreciate that and assure you that things can get better.

Dear client You were on right track to recovery with your psychiatrist. You should stick to treatment. Meditation is an add on therapy. Though you have mentioned alcohol,do you have excessive tea, coffee and tobacco use?Cut down on them.Do outdoor activities.

Hello! I'm so sorry you're going through such challenging times. I would suggest you speak with your psychiatrist once again and discuss about your liver problem. Your psychiatrist will prescribe medications that will not cause further problems with your liver. In addition to taking medication, you can consult a psychotherapist/Hypnotherapist/NLP practitioner to work on the anxiety and the fear of dying. They will help you to work on the problem right from its root and will try to help you eliminate the root cause. I hope you find the help you need.

I understand your concern totally , but I would tell you that you should search a good doctor and a medical counselor who can guide you towards a better quality of your life.   Don't fear , disease do not kill us but the thought that we have disease starts eating us up every day. Many people with worst disease have survived long , so Don't fear whenever you get breathing problems only start thinking that this is a temporary phase you will come out Approach a counselor. Goodluck Everytime you get anxiety remember that the worst is not going to happen it is just your irrational fear. Goodluck.

Please listen to your psychiatrist and not your family doctor. Your treatment is very much effective for anxiety disorder. And practise meditation as well as take medication. You can get your liver function tested regularly if you're worried something is going to happen to your liver.

Hi Sir Thanks for seeking help here. To be very honest , we can manage Anxiety disorder flawlessly. Perhaps your family doctor is too old or a MBBS DOC , who never opened Psychiatrist books in his life time. The Psychiatrist has prescribed you something which usually the treatment of choice for Anxiety disorder. Except that Quetiapine all r fine and appropriate. You need to increase paroxetine dose to 25 mg n then 37.5 as per the response. Start relaxation techniques like JPMR and deep breathing. You need cognitive therapy also....A complete management plan may help you... For Ur believe please read Anxiety disorder and it's Management plans.
