Anxiety,unsound sleep
A month back my father passed away. I had not met him for last one years due to my IAS exam prep. I am feeling very down and depressed. Couldn't sleep well. Next month my IAS mains exam is scheduled. Is there any medication to feel relieved of grief without any drowsiness. Its becoming very hard for me to console myself and lead a normal life.

You need to talk to someone about it and get support through psychological counselling. If you think that's not working, consult Psychiatrist who can give you medicine to cope up with depression but remember that won't be the final solution.

I understand your grief and feeling. I would like to question  yourself,  Is this the way you feel and behave with yourself would have been encouraged by  your father,  if he would have alive now??!!!! What is the best Result you could give back to your Dad,  as Gratitude. Reflect....
Next Steps
If required,  take an online or offline  counseling with a psychological counselor.
