I have a boil inside my armpit. It is not visible from outside but I can feel it on the inside. Someone suggested salt water hot compress. On doing that I feel it more and also have a little bit of pain. My history is also that I have only one lung. My left lung was removed in 2003. This boil I feel is in the right armpit. I also want to know if armpit boils Abcess can cause any infection to the lung. I used to previously get Abcess in my left armpit also. My family physician recommended Linezolid 600 and use of Cetaphil soap. He is currently not available hence seeking help on practo.

If its not outside, not red, not painful then its a old one.. healing... It will disappear over time..
Now be careful about the new ones coming up, usually due to rollons or deo spray which clog up the pores causing boils.
Please avoid roll on and spray ... Just keep the area clean...
Boils in armpit has no connection with the lung ..
