Baby having loose motions
Our one month old baby passing watery stool 9 to 10 times in a day and while passing stool he cries with pain what should we do..

The number of motions is not important at this age,the consistency of stools is,which should be soft and formed,and may vary from 10-12 a day to one motion after 3-4 days.
If breastfed only,give feeds at a gap of atleast 2 to 2-1/2 hours,maintain strict hygiene in feeds.
If top fed,use only formula milk,give feeds using a spoon and katori,not a bottle,and maintain strict hygiene in preparation and giving of top milk.
Add Enterogermina vial half vial twice a day for 5 days.
If not improving in 3 days OR accompanied by other symptoms like vomiting or fever or dullness and refusal to feed,consult your paediatrician.
