Baby's fever
I took my child to the clinic and ask them to see why she is getting the fever. her fever where 38.9 when I went to the clinic. they have only given her panado to drink, but when I got home my childs fever were 40.6. now I just want to find out what medicine they had to give her if her fever were so high when they look after her

this can happen sometimes when the fever is rising that the medicine takes time to lower the fever, especially in high grade fevers. also if the child is dehydrated, the medicine will not be able to lower the body temperature. another factor could be if u cover up the febrile child, the body temperature could keep rising, inspite of receiving of medicine.
Next Steps
give her plenty of fluids, sponge her down from top to toe and make her wear light comfortable clothes
