Baby Umbelical little blood
Dear sir Attached photo Scezarian baby Baby age 15 days weight 3.500 His umbelical plastic was rupture on 5th day of baby. And now since 4 days he was playing with legs his legs was touching to umbelical at that time little blood flowing from that pls advice any ointment or powder . And may I know is this common or not pls tell . And may I know whys his umbelical was looks so opened . Compare to other baby's his umbelical part of upper looks like very opened .. Tips pls

No need to worry... Umbilicus looks normal...sometimes some dry scab removed from umbilicus which leaves dark reddish color which is mistaken for blood.... Clean area with lukewarm water and cotton...

Nothing to be done just avoiding touching the stump area with dirty hands keep the stump are dry and clean if required you can clean with luke warm water and cotton

Hi, The umbilicus looks normal. The stump will take another week to heal. Regularly clean with warm water if bleeding. Do not apply cream or oil
Next Steps
The abdomen muscles will be lax, so will take few more more months for the umbilicus to come to normal shape.
