Hi After any infection baby intake is less and also due to infection perse mild weight loss is common Just give healthy protein rich diet small frquent calorie rich food reciepe like dhals cereals pulses in diet may help if nonvegetarians try egg and minced chicken or mutton purees Add friuts and vegetables too if no fever Recovering stage needs good diet You can also try with multivitamins and vitamin D Restricting diet for long periods after infection will be worsening your kids immunity and weight
