Baby with high bilirubin level.
Hi , my baby girl born 2 days ago. Dr found she have bilirubin level 36. Now blood change process is going on and bilirubin is 27. we are having fear of some neurological disorder in baby dr are not sure what extent the damage will be in long term. Could you please suggest what is the possibilities in future.

1st of all this sr. Billirunin in a 2days old baby is so high
Which need double exchange definitely which u told going on that's good
After exchange this values changed to 27 which is also so high
May need
One more time exchange transfusion and continue intensive phototherapy
Actually how much brain affect, will affect or not we can't tell now
That doctor will tell u on further examination after 2-3months.
