Back pain due to cough
I had dry cough...was treated for it...not pneumonia...as already shown to chest physician..chest clear...but while coughing middle portion of back is paining

This is due to continuous coughing... loss of elasticity of muscles and dryness in rib cage  joints  because of age and dry cough resulting this.
Next Steps
Application of warm sesame or warm mustard oil just before bath to the back and whole body appreciated.. can give mild Fomentation by covering a thin cotton cloth over back on lung area after application of oil can be done for couple of minutes.. only for 2 days...

If the cough is deep sounding,then ur chest n back muscles r active, due to which u get pain, try with warm fomentation,be sure you are cured of the cough completely
