Back pain during or after sleep can happen due to a variety of reasons. The common cause is inappropriate bedding. If the bed is too soggy or too hard, that can cause such problems. A firm mattress is the best one. One of the rare causes can be subtle infections of the spine which can become painful when the muscles around the spine relax during sleep.
Next Steps
Hence, it would be prudent to get some baseline blood tests such as complete blood counts, ESR and CRP.
Health Tips
If these test reports are normal, then simple stretching exercises for back and firm mattress can be recommended.
