Bad breath can be due to causes other than dental hygiene also. If you have ruled out dental causes check for acidity or stomach issues which can also cause bad breath. Besides that, sinus issues can also lead to it. These need to be ruled out.
Health Tips
Sip water through the day to keep your mouth moist.

Bad breath can we do to oral and extra oral causes. The most common oral causes are plaque and calculus deposition. Scaling is a procedure that remove the deposits that have accumulated till this date, but that does not mean in any way that the new deposits will not form. Meticulous oral hygiene maintenance by proper brushing technique by the patient is more important after the procedure to maintain the results of scaling. If you require scaling twice every year that means your post procedural maintenance is lacking. Either contact your dentist for a guidance about proper brushing technique or you can search modified Bass technique on YouTube which is considered as the best technique for brushing the teeth. The other steps that you can take our tongue cleaning by your toothbrush after every time you brush your teeth and avoiding the use of tongue cleaners weather plastic or metallic or wooden. Maintaining a good level of hydration is equally important so that the saliva is watery and the harmful ingredients of The Saliva are diluted appropriately. Regards.
