Behaviour problem
My father is suffering with continues hiccups. Once hiccups start he will speak non related words. And it goes some times nearly 2 to 3 hours. Please suggest any solution.

this is a medical condition and needs a doctor to be solved. usually this happens due to acid reflux. do visit a doctor specializing in gastric disorders

Gastric reflux disease is usually the cause of hiccups. There are other medical conditions which needs ruling out before considering any functional or psychological cause. A detailed history and examination would help to understand the nature of the problem and to determine appropriate treatment. Please first consult a physician if you haven't already done so. If all medical conditions have be ruled out, then please consult a psychiatrist to evaluate for psychogenic hiccups. Regards
