It is important to know if the child was thoroughly assessed for the cause of palsy ( paralysis ), if it’s only on one side or both , any ear problems like ear discharge , when did it start, was any imaging done etc If it’s Bell’s palsy after ruling out all other causes, it usually becomes better within 3 months since onset.

Belspalsy is diagnosis of exclusion, The treatment is steroids in appropriate dose. Must rule out any ear disease.
