hernia is a defect in inguinal region. it cannot be cured by medicines alone. surgery is the only option.

avoid weight lifting
if you have long standing cough or constipation take treatment for that. which may cause hernia even after surgery

Now it is not painful.... But if you will left untreated then the pain can occur. So better to take treatment. Otherwise some complications can start.So better to take proper treatment.
