Biopolar episode and Mood stabilizer
My wife is a Biopolar Disorder patient, she had a maniac episode in 2015 and then doctor prescribed Litca 450 (lithium) for her, but recently she stop that medication for last 14 month as doctor prescribed due to pregnancy, but one week ago she had another depression episode and now taking Cyclotin 20 tablets as doctor prescribed and now she is feeling better. I want to know that, can biopolar episodes occur even after taking Mood Stabilizer for long time?

Relapse in pregnancy is common with Bipolar Disorder. Unfortunately, there is no completely safe mood stabilizer during pregnancy. Prophylactic mood stabilizer should be continued for at least 2 years. If she is post partum with depressive symptoms, Olanzapine + Fluoxetine combination is a good choice to continue.
