Bipolar disorder, now called as Mood Disorder is a disease which falls in major psychiatry disorders category. This means it is a difficult disease and the aim of treatment is to keep it under control without any functional loss to the patient (same like Diabetes, Hypertension etc.) I am sure, you must already be under conventional (allopathy) medications for the same. Taking the medicines religiously is the key to good control over the disease. I would recommend you to try Integrataed Medicine method - Along with conventional medicines, starting homoeopathic medicines gives better control over disease, reduction in allopathy medicines over a period thereby lessening the side effects associated with them.
Next Steps
Consulting a Homoepathic Psychiatrist while continuing the Conventional (Allopathy) medicines
Health Tips
1)It is advisable to keep a check on Thyroid hormone levels every 6 months as fluctuation in same may increase your complaints. 2)Weight control - as conventional medicines may cause increase in the same.
