I have high diabetes. Last checked was 400. Now i am experiencing severe pain in my right thumb. It has become black n it swells severely if I put my hand in water or wash utensils. I went to the doctor he gave me glycerine to apply. But it didn't help. Plz advice

Thumb turning black with pain and swelling could be a result of severe infection. It might need intravenous antibiotics urgently. Controlling blood sugar is essential with insulin if required.
