Black stool
What may be the various reasons for black motion/stool. my father is getting black stool from last one week.He is not facing any problem related to stomach.The only problem is black stool. should i consult a doctor or it is normal? thanks anoop

Black stools may be a sign of upper GI tract bleeding. Consult a doctor for proper evaluation.

Consult doctor for work up.. He needs upper g I endoscopy

It's common in Peptic ulcer... Sometimes black stool also with Iron supplements.
