Tarter develops as your deposits on your teeth get calcified. It contains a millions of bacterias and other microorganisms which releases a lot of toxins, chemicals and acids. Which can cause bleeding gums, swelling in gums, bad breath, cavities. Eventually gums loose its support leading to bone loss and loosening of teeth. Pain in cheeks may be bcoz of eruption of your wisdom tooth. Get it evaluated with the help of a X-ray.
Next Steps
Get yourself a teeth cleaning done. Deep cleaning and polishing by a periodontist will help.
