Blackish Callus in Foot
My mother (59+ Y) is under treatment for Hypothyroid, Hypertension, Osteoarthritis of knee joints & mild anemia. Over past few years, she has a blackish callus in one of her foot, which was too painful during last winter & had caused difficulty in walking too. Since past 2-3 weeks, she applied karosel lotion to it, which seems to have soften & melt it a little, but not completely cured. The pain is still there although a little reduced. Could you please advise the next steps for treatment ?

Callus is a form of viral wart.usually warts are not painful but if they are at a pressure bearing site they might be painful. Without looking at it it’s difficult to comment but IF it’s a warts it needs to be softened with topical treatment and then removal by laser.
Next Steps
Removal after confirmation of diagnosis.
