Bleeding/Spotting
I started birth control in the beginning of Aug. I normally get my period on the last day of the month or the first of the month. I haven't experienced side effects until Oct. I got my period on the last day of Sept and it lasted until Oct 5/6. A week later I began spotting which lasted 11 days. 3 days after my spotting had finished I got what I thought was my period because it was so heavy. It only lasted a day. Now it is the 2nd and I haven't gotten my period. Yes, I have had unprotected sex.

You have started your pill on August. Usually it will take 1 months for the hormones maintain a blood level . If you had fever or diarrhoea or any other disturbances like mental stress can make the hormonal level irregular leading to spotting . Continue taking regularly at the same time each day . Wait and see . If this repeats you need to see a gynaecologist .
