Blood clotting on edge of feet fingers
Please see images of blood clotting on the edge of feet fingers. This developed automatically over last few days. 1) Why must have this happened, 2) what is this called as, 3) is it serious, 4) which type of doctor to consult for this, 5) any medicine you can prescribe please. Note that my Dad is diabetic since 20 years and is a heart patient as well since 20 years, has high BP problem. However never has such clots developed before. Please suggest.

Looks like early diabetic gangrene. People with diabetes may unknowingly develop wet gangrene after experiencing a minor toe or foot injury. Blood flow to the extremities is generally diminished in people with diabetes. This means that the tissue in these areas is unable to heal as quickly. As a result, infection can develop more easily.
