Blood in stool
I have constipation from childhood. Recently I am facing problem when I went to toilet fresh red blood comes from rectum very Little. Sometimes blood mixed with faecal matter. I consulted with a MS surgeon he told me I have fisher and told me that I dont have to go for surgery as it will not affect much. pls reply wht i should do now.

It's good that you have a diagnosis in hand. Drink plenty of fluids. Avoid constipation. Consume fibre in form of fruits and vegetables as well as add isabgul husk (two tablespoons in one glass of water after dinner). You may need to take a laxative as wellness for short term. Sit in warm water bath ten to fifteen minutes three to four times a day. If passing stools is painful apply 2% lignocaine jelly.
