Hi...I have a newborn of 15 days...and I am facing problems with breastfeeding...he initially used to take my feed but recently he has stopped taking it or it gets really tough for me to get him latched on to it. He is for last few days only on formula milk...I am really worried how to bring him back on my feed. May be he doesn't want to put in effort on sucking as he has found the easier way.
Pls help!!!

Yes ma when introduced to formulas baby will get nipple confusion and will get adapted to bottle feed as it is easier & baby gets enough milk .
Just access dhese two ma..
1.whether you have enough breastmilk secretions?
1.whether baby is properly positioned during breastfeeding.
Next Steps
You can even consult through video call for proper positioning techniques..

Sew for proper signs and attachement of breast feeding..
One video available on youtube from AIIMS , see this video there is domonstration of Breastfeeding.
Stop Formula feed or give over and above breastfeeding if require.
This is my advise.
You need help from a lactation consultant.
Until then:
1)hold baby skin to skin a lot(this keeps baby relaxed and interested to feed.also gets your milk volume up)
2)use a breast pump to extract your milk to feed baby.do this on a schedule of atleast 8 times a day.( this way, breast milk volume is maintained and baby gets benefit of your breast milk)
3)if you are using a feeding bottle--stop. Use a pallada or spoon.( sucking from a bottle is very different from sucking at breast, and can confuse baby)
Next Steps
if you do not have access to a lactation consultant in your town, online consultations are available.
