Breathlessness and cough
Hello Dr, In Oct 2017 my mom had bad cough. That got better but didn't go off completely. However when she climbs staircase she feels breathless and sometimes tight in the chest. I got complete health checkup done and everything looked normal. Just that her sugar had gone high. That's under control. However her cough is not gone and she runs off of breath if she walks fast or climbs stairs. For cough my mom takes Macbeth-XT syrup. Could you please advise what do I do

Hi. I understand your concern s. If x ray is normal then get a pulmonary function test which is needed for the diagnosis as well as to assess severity of bronchitis based on which treatment can be started. Also a echo. Consult a pulmonologist for the same
