Broke mercury thermometer
I accidentally dropped a clinical mercury thermometer and mercury splattered all over the floor of my house (my bed was also there on the floor). I picked the visible droplets using gloves and eye drops bottle. But, still I can notice some of the droplets here and there like, bed, corners. Kindly suggest me how to handle this situation. It's been three hours the incident happened. And it may be around 12 to 13 hours when you are reading the post. Can we get mercury poisoning by this. The space is pretty ventilated but not very effectively ventilated.

Hello there. I can understand your concern. Just mop the floor and you will be fine. Do not worry about it. Use a good floor cleaner and mop it. This much will be enough. Best regards. Dr. Anil Kumar Jain. Bangalore.
