Broken Retainer
My retainer broke down during lockdown and front teeths is little crooked now...I am wearing broken Raitaner for not much tooth movement.
I called the the clinic - Deccan clinic,Pune long back to ask if they have my teeth impression with them..They denied.They should have given my any digital print of my after treatment of my teeth..Now do I need to go through same procedure again and how much will it cost.
Right now I am living in Bangalore near BTM area. Any suggestions will be appreciated

Hi mam,
You can go to any clinic near by, and check your current status. Hopefully you need a new retainers that's all. Please don't use broken one it is useless.
For new retaines to be fabricated, you need new impression. Go for Hawley retainers so that small gaps can be closed, after which you can go for clear retainers.

You will just have to pay for new retainer only if your teeth are in satisfactory position. If there is some relapse in treatment then you may need to repeat the treatment.
Even if your old clinic had your impression... New impression is a must for accuracy.
Covid has made the situation difficult both for the patient as well as doctor.
Visit orthodontist near you at the earliest.

Need not to worry...... Visit your nearby dentist...He will take the new impression and will provide you a new retainer... Also one year old impression won't work as some tooth movement must had taken place... So new impression will only work..

Dont worry you visit dentist nearby. Dentist will take fresh impressions which hardly takes 15 minutes. After that retainers will be given to you within 5 to 6 days. Older impressions dont work anyways so fresh impressions will give you better results.
