  4. Bruised finger. Is the swelling normal?

Hi, My daughter 19 months smashed her finger as the door closed yesterday. Her finger is red on the inside and there there is slight swelling. The nail has turned purple. She can bend her finger and is cheerful. Is the swelling normal ? Thanks.
