C reative protein levels high - cancer
Last year I had uterine cancer stage 1, I had surgery and radiation and no other spread of cancer was found. Prior to surgery my CRP level was 8.0! I just had it check 1 year later, and it is 1.4 (still elevated). Should I still be concerned about this elevation or does this mean it will still take time to return to normal after surgery/cancer/radiation?

CRP is an acute phase reactant and may be raised due to a plethora of reasons. You should follow up with your Oncologist usually for a period of 5 years post completion of treatment. There is, most of the times, no direct correlation between raised CRP and recurrence of cancer.
