Girl child.
Date of birth: 14/04/2018
Birth weight: 2.7kg
Weight at 3.5 months 5.3kg
My daughter is on breast milk only. Though her demand Is not high, I feel her weight gain isn't good as per percentile Chart and consulted paed.
For 2nd and 3rd month she put on 700 gm each. And expected was 1kg every month.
Can we start semi solids? If yes, what to start with? I intend to continue giving breastmilk. Semi solids will just be additional supplements.
Thank you.

Ideally if everything is going we recommend exclusive breastfeeding till 6 months. If poor weight gain or any concerns if your doctor suggest than only you can start semisolid early that also not before 4-5months.
Next Steps

I think weight gain is not so bad so as to add semisolid
If the child is active then no need to worry
U can add semisolid once ur infant is 5 months complete
I think u should wait
Hi, you can certainly add semi solids to the diet after the age of 4 months in your baby the best way would be to add homemade foods in small quantities that are soft blame semisolid things like dal rice Khichdi Apple stew curd banana with milk et cetera are useful,
