Can't lift arm after humerus fracture
I'm 31 years old Male diagnosed with supracondylar fracture elbow with comminuted Intracondylar extension right humerus. Surgery underwent is ORIF with Locking Recon plating under general anaesthesia. This happened 5 years 7 months ago. There are 2 plates and 9 screws in my right arm. I've had physiotherapy at that time and regained most of my arm movement but didn’t had full range of motion. Even today I can’t lift my arm straight up overhead. I feel I don’t have enough strength in my elbow joint to lift it straight up. My question is can i regain full range of motion even after these many years? and if so how? I’ve attached 2 X-Rays. One is taken on day of accident (Feb-2015) and another is latest one with implants (Mar-2020). Thank you in advance for your response

The problem is due to weakness of your muscles around the elbow and shoulder. How much movement will be achieved is difficult to say but you must try doing suoervised stretching and gradually increasing strengthening exercises. The fracture seems to have healed
