Can white tongue have sore throat
I am a father of a 8 year old girl. My daughter has developed white tongue since 15 days. Now since the last 3 days she has a sore throat. Are white tongue and sore throat related? What should be done to get of both? How long will it take for this problem to go?

Causes of while tongue include Poor oral hygiene Dry mouth Dehydration Alcohol use (excessive) Mouth breathing Low roughage diet (eating mostly soft or mashed foods) Mechanical irritation from sharp tooth edges or dental appliances oral yeast infection Oral thrush Oral lichen planus Certain infections that cause white tongue may sometimes cause the sore throat bu it can also be due to a different infection. I would advise to visit a dermatologist so that the underlying cause of white tongue can be diagnosed and appropriate treatment started.
